Our education services provide support for remote schools and those at risk of dropping out, with no access to support or engagement. We help ensure all students have the opportunity to reach their educational goals and gain the skills they need to succeed.

Our Education Project has commenced in two areas of West Bengal. Sunderbans and Susunia, Bankura. We have two NGO's conducting the operations on the ground. All funds can be donated directly to the NGO's. Click on the Donate button to go to the site.

Non Formal Education [Started in 2023]
​
We find that rural areas have a huge issue with quality education and accessibility for all. Often the schools are very far and this creates a reason for the students to disengage, stop going regularly and eventually drop off. Seek and Connect has started non-formal education centres in two remote areas of Sunderbans, West Bengal. They provide a teacher and study materials. The aim is to minimise drop out rates by empowering the students to keep up with the syllabus even if they have missed a few classes. The children also gain a mentor to guide them. Parents are involved to support this initiative and for those needing supplementary coaching are able to avail at no extra cost.

We have strarted 2 NFEs (Non-formal Education Center) from January 2023 - one in Jharkhali and another in Bali Island. Each center is supporting through free tuition around 25 primary school students for two hours daily before their school starts. Added two more NFEs in Bali island in 2024. Slowly institutionalizing structured learning through teaching aids like educational charts, worksheets for each grade.

We started 2 more such NFEs at Kalahazra, Sonakhali in January 2025. With 6 NFEs in operation covering 150 students, we have increased our focus on the quality of education. We coach and guide the teachers on a weekly basis to help them with their lesson plans, enable them with appropriate TLM methods. We have conducted teacher's workshop on TLM application. ,They are now equipped with additional teaching aids like flash crads, globes and maps, continuous supply of worksheets.

Impact of this effort is visible through the performance of the kids. They are being amply appreciated in their schools. To facilitate overall grooming of the children, we have started organizing annual sports for them from 2025.

Hands on Science [Started in 2022]
​
Seek and Connect holds practical science sessions in schools in the Sunderbans, West Bengal. These science experiments are fun and interactive with basic materials. Students learn science through experiments and practical knowledge, by engaging and stimulating their minds in looking, observing, doing, interacting and then drawing a conclusion. The goal is to to infuse a genuine interest and inquisitiveness about science and how it affects our lives.

We have been conducting day-long science workshops in 5 remote / underpriviledged schools.

Interactive Learning [Started in 2023]
​
Students are given hand held devices such as tablets loaded with learning apps and interactive lessons to make learning fun. These devices are shared and not only have access to a variety of uses, they also teach the students to be responsible and technologically savvy.
​
The initial pilot showed very promising results. The kids have developed their number skills and English vocabulary faster than normal mode. This result has promted us to spread this to two locations in Sunderbon, one site in Sushunia, and one under-pliviledged school in Bijoygarh, Kolkata.

Inter Generational Education [Started in 2018]
​
Senior citizens visit under privileged schools to tutor in English and Mathematics and share their life experiences and stories, enriching the students life. In return the seniors feel appreciated and get a good feeling to give back to society.​ This was operational in one site in Kolkata at Bijoygarh. However, post pandemic we could not organize adequate senior volunteers, and the model is operational through one senior only.
